Saheed Olurotimi Timehin hails from Ibeju-Agbe in the Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria. He teaches Middle Eastern Studies at the Lagos State University, Lagos and gives regular Radio and TV Talks on Islam and Contemporary Issues.
A Fulbright Scholar, Saheed Timehin has a Number of firsts to his name: He was the first Lagosian to bag a Ph.D. in Arabic Studies; He was the first Co-Chairman (Muslim) for the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigeria Interreligious Council (NIREC) and he was the First Black African to be selected for the Fulbright Interfaith Fellowship by the Council For International Exchange Of Scholars (CIES) under the US Department of State for Education. .
He has a passion for peacebuilding and conflict prevention/ resolution and has had the privilege of being trained in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, mediation and reflective structured dialogue at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA, and Harvard Divinity School, Harvard University, Cambridge USA.
